A List

Hi. Is anyone even out there anymore? I haven't been here in forever, but I figured it was time to jump back in. It's not like we've been busy or anything, I mean you haven't missed much. Not really. Here's a quick list to get us all caught up….

1) Finn left for college. It was crazy and surreal. We loaded him, four bags and one baby into the car and drove him to his dorm and LEFT HIM THERE. It was exciting and totally bizarre and a little sad, but mostly just bizarre. The sadness didn't really hit until after the fact. After we got home and all the little details of him being gone really started to sink in. He's doing great though and is very sweet about face-timing and texting and we even got him to come home one weekend for a quick overnight visit. The fact that he's only about an hour away has helped to make the entire transition much more manageable indeed.

2) Everyone else started school (except Oisin and Aislinn of course~slackers). Ruari started high school and the twins switched from their Montessori school to Micah's school, but then 2 weeks later Nuala switched back to the Montessori school. So it's pretty much just craziness. Mine.

3) Oisin turned 2.

4) Aislinn got a tooth and bit the crap out of me.

And there you have it, I think that's about it. Love you guys, all two of you (hi mom).

Amazing photos, all of them. It takes a strong mom to allow your kids the luxury of choosing a school when it means hauling them here and there. The lake pictures are gorgeous.

WOW! Your pictures are amazing! Do you take photos professionally? I didn't realize you were such a photographer! If you don't mind me asking, what kind of camera do you use? Do you have a "go to" lens that you use? I realize you have an eye for photography and experience that goes beyond a camera and lens though. I have a Nikon D5000, but still have the kit lens. I'm thinking about branching out and getting a better lens for it, but am unsure of where to start. I've also only started dabbling in Lightroom. My photos look no where near this good! haha. Also, you have a beautiful family. I keep saying maybe I only want one kid, but your photos and stories are making me want 10. :P You're an amazing mom.
