In preparation for St. Patricks Day dinner, Brendan set our brisket a simmering on Monday night. After work on Tuesday he somehow managed to get the potatoes mashed, the soda bread baked, the cabbage steamed and the leek & blue cheese soup stirred. Oh how that soup filled our house with the most delicious aroma! The twins usually eat ahead of us and are in bed by the time we all sit down together, so in order to keep them up long enough to enjoy our traditional Irish feast, we did what any responsible parents would do.
We bribed them of course.
The jury is still out on whether or not they actually enjoyed the taste!
What do you expect from March peaches?
