Last Thursday was the night of the highly anticipated Fifth Grade Show. Maija and Sidhe practiced for weeks with their classes, rehearsing lines and learning choreography. The process was impressive and the results brought the audience to their feet for a well deserved standing ovation. The girls have been performing on this stage for nearly seven full years now and I admit that this final curtain call had my eyes tearing up a bit. The play was wonderful and their performances were powerful....demonstrative of all the valuable knowledge they have gained from an ARTS education.
