Oscar is our little bookworm, he has always had a special place in his heart for books. Even before he was actually interested in reading books, he would come up with alternative methods of use for them.
When he first started teething for instance he loved chewing and biting his books. He would gnaw on them until they were soggy and falling apart. I can recall many days when either Brendan or I would have to fish out a large wad of baby book cardboard from within the depths of his drooly baby mouth.
Goodnight Gorilla was one of the first to go, he seemed to have a preference for that book in particular, and made short work of it, before turning his incisors elsewhere.
For a short time we even had to limit him to cloth books, which really narrowed his selection.
And as you can see, he enjoyed these tasty treats as well......
Nowadays he prefers to actually browse through the pages.
