Last summer, Brendan decided it was finally time to get "serious" and the proposal, while a tad unoriginal and highly anticipated, came as a complete surprise to me. Even though we had already decided to build a life together, had been "shacking up" for 2 years and I was *ahem* 17 weeks pregnant.......the proposal was not the surprise. The Surprise was. The fact that he was able to surprise me with something that I already knew about is a testament to what a loving and delightful partner he truly is. As you can see, the kids were extremely depressed about it!
